Ringing Bells with the Salvation Army

The "miracle" of Christmas is repeated over and over again through the joy of caring and sharing. The traditional Salvation Army red kettle is an integral part of the Christmas scene, with millions of dollars donated each year to aid needy families, seniors, and the homeless, in keeping with the spirit of the season.

Donations provide Christmas dinners, clothing, and toys for families in need. Financial assistance also helps with basic necessities, along with seasonal aid. Families of prisoners often are included.  The Longview Early Edition Rotary rings bells for the Salvation Army each December to help with this time honored tradition.
Water Projects

One of the tenets of Rotary International is clean water for all.  The Longview Early Edition Rotary supports a water project in La Guacamaya, Yoro, Honduras.

Paul Harris Foundation

Through Foundation grants and programs, Rotarians and other contributors can help change the world. They can finance a well for a village that lacks clean water, improve the environment, or provide scholarships to educate the next generation. The grants and programs available to Rotarians allow them to realize Rotary's humanitarian mission throughout the world, including its number one goal of eradicating polio. Each year, the Longview Early Edition Rotary members give generously to the Paul Harris Foundation to help with local and international projects.

Shelter Boxes

ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster worldwide.  Each year, Longview Early Edition Rotary members invest in a ShelterBox for an area of the world in need.
Carl Devin Memorial Scholarship

The Longview Early Edition Rotary Club is proud to sponsor deserving high school seniors and college student in Cowlitz County with scholarships.
